Hell(th) Care

My friends, we are on the brink of a precipice from which we will not easily return. Thanks to princess pelosi and the democrats, we are now simply 2 days and a vote away from becoming another country with socialized medicine. The sad thing is that 73% of Americans DON’T WANT this bill. According to several sources the phones on the hill are ringing off the hook with the vast majority of calls being against this monstrosity of a bill. Yet somehow, inside the beltway bubble and within princess pelosi, harry the hairy ape reid and obama’s sphere of influence, the representatives are more concerned with the speaker of the house than they are with their employers, the American people.

Now, for all the liberals/progressives/marxists/commies out there, well they’ll probably say ‘look at that idiot! He can’t spell (title) and doesn’t know how to capitalize (proper names). WRONG! I, An Informed Mind, know full well all the conventional rules of grammar, I am instead choosing to do what I can to oppose those that are usurping our rights and trampling our Constitution. Congressional democrats are going against the American people and I can guarantee you there is going to be a revolution in this country. But it is going to be a peaceful, electoral revolution. Americans are going to vote en masse to throw the jack-n-apes out of office come this November. And I can say this, they had better be prepared to defend this bill because the Republicans are coming and they are campaigning on the dems voting a health care bill down an unwilling public’s throat.

There is still hope that this bill won’t pass. Yes votes can become no votes through the public voicing their extreme hatred for this bill and by dems either seeing the light or feeling the heat. However, if it does pass, I will do everything in my power to force Congress and every elected official to repeal this infringement of our rights. Never before has government mandated the purchase of a good. Contrary to progressive, marxist theology, health care is not… wait let me say this with maximum emphasis NOT a right. Something that can be bought and sold is not a right but a good. Same as a car is not a right, nor a job. Only in Soviet Russia do they think that such things are rights. Rights come from GOD as stated in the Constitution: “We are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” Congress has no right to transfer, take or give rights. If they did it would be tyranny and that is exactly where we are headed.

All Christians that love their country should begin praying RIGHT NOW that this bill does not pass. “Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth, upholder of the universe, we beseech Thee humbly in the name of Thy Son Jesus Christ, that Thou imbue our leaders with wisdom, that Thou strengthen the foundation of our Republic and that Thou change the minds of them that would vote for this bill. Lord, we know that all nations are next to nothing to You and that Thou regardest not a wicked man, but we ask Thee humbly to protect and preserve our nation by Thy providence and keep this bill from passing. We ask that we may glorify Thy name in honor, Amen.” I believe that the same God that removed the sickness from the body of Hezekiah, the same God that raised our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead, the same God that made the sun stand still in the Valley of Aijalon can change the course of our history in that we may go back to freedom and liberty instead of into the long dark night of government tyranny. I believe that if we come humbly before Him, believing, in faith we can defeat this bill or repeal it if it does pass. Pray dear brothers and sisters in Christ.

For you conservatives that are not Christians we can still defeat this bill. However, I cannot unwind my Christianity from my conservatism. To me they are inextricably intertwined. It goes Christian, American, Conservative. All are important to me. But back on subject, flood Congress with your phone calls, emails, faxes, letters. Go to the Congressional offices and stage a sit-down. Take a bullhorn and make your voice be heard. Congress, if they don’t hear you now, they NEED to hear you SOON before this evil bill from the pit of hell is passed. If it is, it will be that much harder to repeal it.

Clinton To Attack Tea Party

According to www.biggovernment.com Bill Clinton is organizing a pushback to the tea party movement. He and his team are going to ‘identify 7 or 8 national leaders’ of the movement and then try to either threaten them or bribe them into turning. With an inside man/woman they will be able to try and tear the movement apart at the seams. The others that aren’t able to be converted will be subjected to smear tactics and character assassinations.

This is typical of the left. Instead of recognizing that this is a legitimate grassroots movement, they will try and find a ‘leading man’ as it were and use him/her against his/her compatriots in the movement. Unfortunately for them, the tea party has no real leaders as it springs up from the people, just as the founders intended it.

It could get ugly as the progressive movement fights for it’s life against the tea party patriots. A big government Congress and President are fighting against the will of the people and are going to go bare-knuckle very soon as they try and stifle the growing movement that, if successful, will damage the progressive movement unlike any other damage it has seen in a century. Alan Grayson Wants To Rewrite Filibuster Rules

Left leaning Senator Alan Grayson, known for his inflaming remark that the Republican health care plan is “if you get sick… DIE QUICKLY!” is attempting to change filibuster rules.

Grayson is circulating a petition asking voters to demand ReDe (Harry Reid) lower the threshold for ending filibusters from 60 votes to 55 votes. He cites 7 examples of Bush getting bills passed with fewer than 60 votes. Sadly, this moron does not understand Senate rules any more than most Americans. All the examples that he cites pertain to votes that are under special rules prohibiting filibusters. These include budgets and trade agreements, none of which can be filibusters.

Grayson, a representative from Florida, is trying to get the rules changed to silence opposition to the Obama health care plan, which includes several Blue Dog Democrats and almost every Republican. But he fouls up his argument as only he can.

One of his examples is a vote on Cheney’s energy policy. He claims that it passed on 57 votes, yet in reality it failed on a filibuster vote 57-40. If Grayson’s filibuster rules would have been in force back then, Cheney’s energy policy would have passed.

The sad truth about all of this is this pseudo-Communist wants to alter the rules to help him and his party temporarily. Filibuster rules are put in place to make sure that power is not abused by one party. The filibuster has been a rule that has kept numerous bad bills from becoming law and this maroon is trying to end it. America beware!

James Madison said in Federalist #10 “Men of factious tempers, of local prejudices, or of sinister designs, may, by intrigue, by corruption, or by other means, first obtain the suffrages, and then betray the interests, of the people.” This is exactly what is happening today with the entire Democratic party, save for a few good men and women. They had better watch themselves, for election day is coming, and America will not long allow men or women to stay without properly representing our interests.

The Evils of Eminent Domain

 

   Eminent domain? Doesn’t it just sound all welcoming and friendly? The problem is, eminent domain is being used by tyrannical governments to throw people out of their own homes to make way for projects that bring in more tax dollars. Let’s see a history of eminent domain.

   Eminent Domain became law through the fifth amendment, and to a lesser extent, from the third amendment. The fifth states in part, “nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation…” The third amendment states in its entirety “No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.” This means that government cannot force, in times of peace, a homeowner to house troops in his home. The part ‘in a manner to be prescribed by law’ indicates the eminent domain part.

   Those two amendments were meant to protect homeowners from unlawful seizure of property by government. However, they have been turned on their heads to allow government to force someone out of their homes for any or no apparent reason. Case in point: Brooklyn, New York residents are fighting to keep their houses after they stood up to New Jersey Nets owner Bruce Ratner and told him they don’t want to give up their homes. Here’s the skinny. Ratner, real estate tycoon, wants a new home arena for the Nets on a $4.9 billion, 22 acre site in Brooklyn. That area is also home to a Transit Authority rail yard.

   But Ratner, coveting that land, decides to take matters into his own hands, going straight to the government to plead his case. Bingo. He hits pay dirt. The New York Court of Appeals upholds the state’s eminent domain laws and basically orders the people off their own land.

   Eminent domain has a sad history. In New London, Connecticut, Suzette Kelo was forced to sell her home (See Below)

to make way for a massive office building for drug maker Pfizer. He was living the American dream, owning her own house and loving it. She didn’t want to give it up. She fought all the way to the Supreme Court. Ultimately she lost. The town began their ‘revitalization’ project and demolished her beloved house. Result? Did the town add thousands of jobs, the unemployed became millionaires and the town became the newest financial capital of the world? No, in fact the office building was never built. Now we have an empty lot where several beautiful homes once stood.

   The truth is, liberal/progressive politicians have caused this. They have no respect for people or their freedoms if it in any way lessens the tax dollars coming in. Americans need to stand up to the evils of eminent domain and liberalism because just like Suzette Kelo, it can happen to us.

Obama To Push For Abortion Funding

The amendment, authored by Rep. Bart Stupak, D-Mich., went beyond preventing the proposed government-run plan from covering abortion to restrict federal subsidies from going toward private plans that offer abortion coverage. White House Senior Adviser David Axelrod states that Obama will work to strip the amendment from the health care bill because the amendment changes the ‘status quo’ and Obama can’t abide by that.

Wait! Didn’t Obama promise change when he took over? But now he wants to keep the status quo the same? What about hope and change for the unborn Mr. Obama? What about hope for the pre-born victims of the slaughter that they have no voice in stopping? Where’s the hope and change NObama?

This is nothing new. Obama is the most liberal senator and now president in the history of our Republic. Why should we expect him to stand up for the unborn? He, and his party, have made it perfectly clear that they only care about representing those that will vote for them and pay taxes. Since the unborn don’t pay taxes, can’t vote and won’t sing Obama’s praises like propagandized victims of brainwashing, they have no worth to the valueless liberals in the Democrat party.

I salute Bart Stupak for standing up for the unborn by trying to get this amendment into the bill. But with his own party against him, there is little chance that it will be implemented and most odds are towards if any bill gets passed, it’ll include federal funding for abortion. This is the key sticking point with many blue-dogs that have conservatives backing them in their districts. If there is abortion funding in the bill, it could doom it. But idiots Pelosi, ReDe and Obama don’t care. They want their radical leftist health care bill regardless of whether the American people want it or not.

America needs to stand up and say, federal funding for abortion is WRONG!!! Even if you are pro-choice you should be fundamentally opposed to making someone else pay for abortions. This is about abortion whether Obama wants to admit to it. People should not be forced to pay for someone else’s abortion. It is violating our moral and religious rights to not fund someone else’s murder. Dems and libs better pick up on that or there will be a BIG year for Republicans next year.

Charge For No Health Insurance!

If President Obama gets his way, you could very well be penalized with fines and potentially even jail time if you don’t buy into health insurance, even if you can’t afford it.

President Obama in an interview with Jake Tapper of ABC news said this: “I think the general broad principle is simply that people who are paying for their health insurance aren’t subsidizing folks who simply choose not to until they get sick and then suddenly they expect free health insurance. That’s — that’s basic concept of responsibility that I think most Americans abide by,” Mr. Obama said, “penalties are appropriate for people who try to free ride the system and force others to pay for their health insurance.”

Later, Obama stated that he didn’t think jail time for those that do not buy insurance is not the “biggest issue”.

America, we are on the verge of having a despotic government that will fine and potentially jail you if you don’t buy something they tell you to buy, when they tell you to buy it and where. THIS IS NOT WHAT THE FOUNDERS INTENDED! They knew firsthand of the tyranny of government when left unchecked. They experienced it from England who was nearly a half a world away. We are right underneath the government’s thumb. We can see the bottom of the slope and it looks eerily similar to Orwell’s 1984. In fact that book is where we glean the phrase Big Brother. Big Brother is the tyrannical government of Oceania that knows everything about its people, tells them what to think and what to do. Sounds like what our government is becoming right?

We have the right to flood D.C. with emails, phone calls and letters telling them to STOP VOTING FOR MORE GOVERNMENT! This health care bill is nothing more than the newest power grab by politicians who are doing nothing but trampling the Constitution. It is completely unconstitutional and they have no power to do so. We need to tell them that if they keep voting for such power grabs they will be kicked out of office come next year. Trust me.

We do not want a government big enough to give us everything. As someone wise once said, “A government large enough to give us everything is large enough to take everything away.”

Free Thought and Liberals

Ignoring my own advice, I continue debating liberals on the Drudge Retort. But that is about to end. While I don’t mind a true debate where we use facts etc. to debate each other, I do mind when someone takes the Bible verses out of context and do not listen when you show them the falseness of their own points. In this case TrueLogic has taken several Bible verses out of context. I have, seeing the futility of trying to debate such a dishonest person, ceased to comment on that forum. I recommend that others follow my lead.

This speaks to the larger issue of free thought and liberalism. Liberals used to promote tolerance for all and other such rosy things. However, when they took the reins of power in D.C. those ideas flew out the window and now opponents are liars, frauds, un-Christian, disingenuous and worse. (See the attacks on me at the Drudge Retort) I was indeed shocked and saddened that my fellow conservatives did not rally to my aid on the Drudge Retort but instead shrank back into the shadows. Since I would not allow my honor to be attacked any longer I was forced out of the forum and as such I will never debate their again as it has been proven that the people on that site have no honor, no dignity and no intelligence accept that which is given to them by Obama.

I really don’t care about what liberals think. I don’t care if they attack my views or my political beliefs. However I cannot and will not tolerate the non-stop attacks on my God. These liberals are the same group that wanted to hang Joe Wilson for calling Obama a liar yet numerous times I was called a liar by dimwits that no nothing of who I am nor anything about my family, my life or my beliefs. It seems that the people involved with liberalism are so virulently anti-Christianity and anti-conservative they can disregard what they have said and slander someone else without cause. For these people I have no use.

Free thought is anathema to liberals. They do not want you to think at all unless you are thinking of how great government, environmentalists and unions are. They want you to be perpetually informed by the government and government alone. They have a disdain for America because Americans are unique in their constant desire to inform themselves through sources that do not include the government. They disregard the Constitution and the founders in order to follow ideas of collectivity, socialism and repressed free thought. Liberalism is a mental disorder and a cancer that wastes away society and forces people into shackles of government dependency. It has been shown that those that become dependent on government rarely make their way off of the government’s back. This is sad in a country where individuals have always tried to work their way up the ladder through their own efforts and not piggy-back off of everyone else. One poster on this site even suggested that I am not being hired because I don’t have a ‘can-do’ attitude. What a fool he is! I believe that I can do, I believe that government can screw up, overspend, under-perform and over shackle people and business. Perhaps this poster didn’t hear that I had put applications in every business I could find. Perhaps he doesn’t want to admit that though the stimulus is great for shovel makers and sign makers, it has done nothing for people like me who can’t find a job to save our lives.

Eventually conservatism will show that once again it is THE working formula to a strong country, a free people and perhaps most important of all, free thought. Under conservatives liberals have their rights to speak, even the nonsense and constant blather and attacks, are ours being taken away by the ‘tolerant’ progressives?

Free Speech Squelchers

I have tried my best to avoid going after my fellow bloggers but a recent episode has just made me change my opinion. On ‘the Drudge Retort’ by Ben Hoffman I have been engaged in an ongoing debate with him and various others liberals. The topic, Republicans and big government, abortion and the sanctity of life. My posts have been repeatedly deleted simply because my points have been superior in every way to the opposition’s, mostly superior to Hoffman’s points.

This is classic liberal attitude. They talk the talk but when it comes to real debate with a suitable opponent they clam up, call you names, denigrate you and delete your comments. It’s been shown through Obama’s war on Fox News and MSNBC’s coverage of the town hall and tea party protests. We shouldn’t expect anything better. But on this blog, this man supposed himself to be such a good defender of all things constitutional so I expected a heated, yet fair debate. No such thing. Classic liberal blather. Delete comments, never acknowledge them or give a reason for their unexpected deletion.

Now I, being a Constitutionalist and believing in private property and free speech agree with his right to moderate comments. In fact I myself do so and find nothing wrong with doing it. However, I, as laid out in my Comment Policy page allow diverging viewpoints so long as the comments do not slander, attack or profane myself, other commentators or my faith. None of these things were said or done by me and nothing warranting my removal was included. Therefore I do not recommend debating or trying to debate this man. He will simply delete your comments as long as you have superior points which will be approx. 94% of the time.

Valueless Liberalism

Through my online debates with members of the opposing viewpoint, I have found that a shockingly large number of liberals have no real morality. I have always believed that conservatives have the higher degree of morality due to support for life, marriage and freedom. But recently through discourse on the Drudge Retort, I have found that many far left liberals don’t mind silencing dissent, speaking out for freedom to die, and generally are all about ME.

I, through my natural inclination to debate and debate fiercely, entered into a discussion on the merits of the pro-life position conservatives have taken. I saw people who heralded the murder of Terry Schiavo through slow starvation as a ‘great moment’ in our history. I also saw people determined that it was their right as a woman to kill of the baby inside of them ‘because I don’t want a party of white men telling me what to do with my body.’ Still others were on my side claiming life was valuable and the teaching of intelligent design should be encouraged to offer a valuable alternative to the THEORY of evolution. They were ridiculed. One of my posts was removed because it contained an element of religion.

Liberals in the 40s, 50s and 60s were heralded for their open mindedness and tolerance. The liberal mindset though has come full circle, from tolerance for all to only tolerance for what they want to hear. Liberals complain of the Bush doctrine of the Patriot Act which allowed warrant-less wiretaps, yet they want to shout down all opposing viewpoints. Liberalism used to be the carefree open mindset which focused on personal generosity. Now it is a close minded, our view is the only view if you don’t agree with us we will shout you down and drown you out, take more of someone else’s money to pay for ‘social justice’ programs.

Liberals now applaud when someone is guaranteed a right to die, such as a baby or suicidal person, yet they denounce those that want to stick up for life. Pro life people just hate the woman with the baby, people that oppose doctor assisted suicide are simply people that don’t want others to be able to end their own misery. Yet they, the slaughterers of the unborn and defenders of murderers, are great humanitarians, promoting liberty to the pregnant and life to the prisoners.

Americans, when are we going to stand up to the valueless liberalism that is pervading our colleges, our organization, our government? Why do we listen to people who want murderers to live and be set free from prison yet don’t mind the systematic and painful dismembering and slaughtering of the unborn? Stand up for morality.

That is from the song “I Wonder: A Love Song to the Son I Never Knew” as performed by Jamie Dickmann. It is so heart breaking. Why do we allow this in America. Abortion is murder. No matter what the valueless left says or what ‘choice’ dictates. We need to stop this.

More evidence of MSNBC propaganda!

My friends, if you go to the MSNBC website right now, on 10-26-09, there, right on their header screams out: TALES OF HEALTH INSURANCE DISASTER!!! Well I added the three exclamation points just for show. But the insidious nature of the headline just begs for attention. Supposedly fair to both sides and a ‘true news organization’ MSNBC blares anti-insurance propaganda while denying to report on what happens to health care when the government gets involved.

True, the three stories they tell are heart breaking indeed, however, one cannot allow one’s heart and emotions control rational thinking and allow our health care system to be transformed into Cuba circa 2009. While there are significant and troubling errors with our health care system, we can’t allow ourselves to become the next Cuba or Britain or Canada.

MSNBC lists several cases where the insurance doesn’t cover or covers too little of the costs associated with the treatment. The problem with their presentation is that they refuse to address the issue that millions are happy with their insurance. While some may fall through the cracks and be unhappy with their situation, this is typical of everything in life. If you want to claim that I’m a heartless conservative ideologue go right ahead. I’ll take it if it means I am a Constitutionalist and holding true to the values that make America so uniquely American.

Americans want reform, but they want it the right way. They want a fair shake by having doctors not running every test imaginable just to cover themselves in case something goes wrong. And that is why we need tort reform NOW! Doctors are scared of not running tests, even ones that are unnecessary because they are subjected to outrageous lawsuits if something happens they didn’t foresee. It is unfair to doctors for having to fear that and unfair to patients who face added costs due to the threat.

Another way to reform health insurance is to allow out of state companies to compete for buyers. This would allow for more competition and would lower prices as companies wage price wars against each other for potential customers. If there is only one or two companies I can choose from, that allows prices to go up since the two can collude together. But when three or more are available to me, then prices inevitably come down because when more choice is there, they have more reasons to make their choices more attractive to the consumer. Economics my friend.

Americans want reform, but limited reform. Not this media promoting, government option mandating, big government malaise. Americans want most of it to stay the same. And nothing MSNBC can say can detract from that.
