Late Night Thoughts

September 4, 2010

Hola, my dear readers! Since there is a long holiday weekend coming up, I figured I had some time for some late night rambling on the current state of affairs in America. There’s a lot going on in the good ole USA so let’s get right down to it.

You think I’m going to mention Glenn Beck’s 8/28 rally first? WRONG! First comes the troops. This month marks the official end of U.S. combat presence in Iraq. While Obama has tried to take credit for this momentous occasion the only credit goes to our heroic men and women in uniform who have performed admirably in some of the most hazardous and extreme conditions on earth. The commanders have also been worthy of respect, leading the men and women under them with courage and dignity. God Bless our troops. Deserving less praise, but still more than Obama is President Bush. He heard from his commanders who were requesting more troops on the ground and went against the Democrats that held power in Congress prior to the surge. And he surged the troops, determined to win. Now three years later, the job has been done, the war has been won and the troops are leaving with honor, just as he has said. Well done Mr. President.

Now on to Glenn Beck. On August 28th Glenn Beck drew nearly half a million people to the mall in Washington D.C. for his ‘Restoring Honor’ rally. While liberal loons on the cesspool of networks out there decried the rally as a den of hatred and a pit of racism, the rally was an overwhelming success, and with independent cameramen and Fox News coverage, as well as UStream on Facebook, the REAL story got out. On Glenn’s radio show he asked callers to call in with testimonies of their experiences with the rally. An older black woman called in and talked about a white family that helped her navigate the crowds in her power scooter and stayed with her all day to make sure that she got wherever she wanted to be. (This family did not know her prior to meeting her getting on an elevator!) Another caller spoke of her husband losing his wallet with the last $20 that they had to their name. In the ruckus, a do-gooder overheard the problem and handed her and her husband a wad of cash, stating “Here take this, I don’t need it.” That wad of cash turned out to be $400! Sounds like a group of ‘old, white people that can’t stand the fact that there is a black man in the White House,” as TV host Fat Ed Schulz from MSNBC categorized them.

Now the elections are practically upon us. The Democratic Socialists of America better prepare jobs for themselves because soon many of them will be out of work. Serves them right; their policies have cost millions of Americans their jobs, now Americans are getting back. As part of this new conservative wave washing over the country, in Alaska another establishment Republican has been defeated by a Tea Party backed upstart. This could be huge come November. It’ll be an incumbent bloodbath. Repubs need to come up with a coherent and successful strategy for governing, because that mantle will fall on their shoulders and we cannot turn back into Democrat-lites and RINOs.

Last but not least, The Incomparable Ohio State manhandled overmatched Marshall 45-7 in the season opener. OSU looked like champions as Pryor and the offense scored more than in any game last year and the defense shut down Marshall with the exception of a blocked field goal attempt returned for a TD. OSU will try and replicate their successes against a resurgent Miami. OSU’s national championship hopes rely on them beating Miami and then winning out. GO BUCKS!

Finally in the Land of the Employed!

July 26, 2010

It’s official, after not months, but YEARS of searching for work in my rundown section of the country, I officially start work tomorrow at a Church supply company. Which one? Wouldn’t you like to know. In any case, the on the job training starts at 7 in the morning, but I couldn’t be happier. Even with the normal new job jitters I can thankfully say, ‘Praise God and hallelujah! I’ve got a job!’ Unfortunately this is something that nearly 10% of Americans cannot say thanks to the job and business killing policies of Barry Obama, the worst president in the history of the universe. Stay tuned for more.

What’s Race Got To Do With It?

July 23, 2010

The race-healer in chief’s mojo is coming to a screeching, crashing halt. He was the post-racial prez, the guy that was neither black or white, but something like a Santa Clause figure whose appearance changed based upon whom viewed him. He was equally at home with his black buddies and his white buddies. He could easily separate himself from his race and would ‘change’ the country with ‘hope’.

No more. His rep is forever tarnished by what he has done in the past couple weeks alone. Black Panther-gate, suing Arizona over ‘racial discrimination’ in HB1070 (which doesn’t exist mind you) and who can forget that “the Cambridge police acted stupidly.” It seems that the entire Congress now defers to minorities rather than the rule of law.The New Black Panthers were unarguably harassing white voters in an attempt to drive them away from the polls. A whistleblower (J. Christian Adams) at the Justice Department has confirmed that the department had a slam-dunk case against the NBPP yet it was dropped because under AG Holder the department is opposed to trying cases of discrimination against white victims. (See http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/07/us/07rights.html?_r=1)

Now the organization fighting obscurity and utter disrepute, the NAACP is now claiming that the Tea Party is a racist organization and that it is the spiritual descendant of the White Citizens Council. My question? Why won’t the NAACP come out and condemn the NBPP or more specifically Minister King Samir Shabazz of ‘I hate white people’ fame. In case you haven’t heard it, let me quote it to you exactly: “I hate white people. Every last iota of a cracker, I hate him… If you want freedom, you gonna have to kill some crackers. You gonna have to kill some of they babies.”

Sounds real warm and huggable doesn’t he? That is the same man that was standing outside a Philadelphia polling station on election day 2008 with a nightstick. Regardless of color, there are racists among us. Blacks can hate whites as easily as whites can hate blacks. Asians can hate Hispanics and Europeans can hate Australians. The point is, we are never going to get past racism. NEVER! The human condition is unable to be removed from us as it is ingrained with sin. Some hearts will never change, and you can’t legislate morality. Government cannot change a heart, only God can through the blood of Jesus Christ. King Samir Shabazz needs Christ. And not his faux Christ of black liberation theology. For God doesn’t look on appearances, but on the heart.

I love people regardless of their color. But some people won’t do that. Some people hate others based on their color. And ones like Shabazz (both Samir and Zulu) are racist as well. Nothing can be done to heal old wounds when the former victims are turning into the oppressors. But here’s the thing. Race hustlers like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and outright racists like King Samir Shabazz and Malik Zulu Shabazz were never subject to the same treatment that MLK or others were treated. They were never enslaved like in the 1800s. I still contend that if we go far enough back, every group on earth has been enslaved or mistreated by someone of the opposite race.

So in closing, if Obama were to truly want to be post-racial, he would look at the facts rather than the skin-tone and drop his radical agenda. Decrying Arizona’s largely white police and legislature (who are trying to enforce border policy) and sticking up for illegal immigrants who happen to be largely Hispanic (and crossing ILLEGALLY) is an example of radicalism. Justice is supposed to be blind, blind to color, blind to economic status, blind to gender. The eyes of justice are only supposed to behold facts, perhaps the President should take the same approach.

Obama’s Plan to Ruin America

June 23, 2010

Yes my friends, you read that right. America is being sabotaged from within and the culprit is none other than our dear leader, The One, Barry Hussein Obama. While the economic impact of the oil spill in the gulf is horrifying to say the least, The One, He Who Will End Global Warming and Solve All Ills, is exacerbating the situation with a 6 month moratorium on drilling. You might say ‘Oh well the judge overturned that’ or ‘Good, no more oil spills’, imagine this, thousands of people could lose their jobs working on the rigs, stocking the rigs, supplying the rigs, upkeep on the rigs etc. for 6 months. Imagine this also, if they lose them for that long, they could lose them forever. Do you want to know why? Each day that those rigs sit idle costs the owner millions of dollars. Foreign companies are already lining up to bid on those rigs. Six months without drilling is an economic death sentence for thousands and thousands of workers.

Even though the federal judge has overturned the ban, the administration is planning on appealing the ban and Ken Salazar (the one in charge of the situation) has already leveled another ban, trying to get that one through the judicial system. Do you see what is going on America? Our own president and his crack-pot team of politicos and aparatchiks are trying to ruin the oil industry and put thousands more people out of work. What could possibly be a good reason for doing this? There is none, except that Obama wants to increase his power and control over people’s lives. We are heading for despotism folks.

He has also announced plans for a new round of ‘stimulus’ involving billions if not trillions more wasted taxpayer money. He is pushing comprehensive immigration reform AKA amnesty. He wants to push card-check allowing forcible unionization. America, our president is a radical, un-American who is trying to ruin our country. We need to deal a severe blow to him and his democratic socialists of America come this November when the Tea Party Express will be handing many dems a pink slip. Keep up the good fight friends, America will stand so long as we continue to fight for limited government and personal freedom.

Obama Bashes Opponents In Meat-chicken Speech

May 3, 2010

In a recent speech given by president Obama at the U of Michigan, Obama didn’t encourage the next leaders of our nation, economy etc to become the great thinkers and doers of tomorrow, but he bashed opponents who disagree with his idea of large government becoming the answer to all of our problems: “But what troubles me is when I hear people say that all of government is inherently bad,” said Obama, who received an honorary doctor of laws degree. “When our government is spoken of as some menacing, threatening foreign entity, it ignores the fact that in our democracy, government is us.”

Where do I start? First off let me address the idea that someone is saying all government is bad. No one is saying that, except the anarchists who are CRAZY. If there is too little government, things WILL fall apart. That is what led to the Constitution. The Articles of Confederation were so weak that the states were doing whatever they wanted and acting like their own countries. The Constitution was made so that the federal government was just strong enough to bond the states together and that’s it. Too much government leads to tyranny. The founders put us closer to anarchy, but far enough away that we’d stick together.

Secondly, our founders DID speak of government as a NECESSARY evil. George Washington said “Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.” They saw that we needed a government, but wanted to seriously constrain it so that our own would never enslave us as the British did. That is why a strict interpretation of the Constitution is the only true interpretation. Activist judges have lead us down the road to totalitarianism, we are almost there. The IRS has been given new powers to enforce the health care mandate, the IRS is seeking out individuals with ‘combat experience’ as well as ordering new shotguns. Why does a tax collection agency need new shotguns and 16,000+ agents, some with combat experience? But I digress.

Lastly, nitpicking a bit, we are not a democracy but a republic. Our president can now, not only be titled ‘The Worst President of Our Lifetime and Beyond’, but historically stupid as well. Bravo Mr. President, or should I say (in honor of the bashing of the ‘irresponsible’ actions of Arizona) Senor El Presidente.

Nuclear Arms and America

April 7, 2010

The United States has become significantly less safe under Barack Obama than we have ever been in the past. President Obama has now stated that the U.S., under his administration, will not use nuclear weapons in any case against a non-nuclear state. This basically means that even if we are attacked with a biological or chemical weapon, we will not nuke the agressor.

Naturally leftists are cheering the president for taking America down a notch. Yea, our European, more sophisticated and less backwoods *choke, gag, spit* ‘allies’ are glad that the only superpower is basically self-destructing under Obama. But countries like Japan, South Korea and Israel should be very worried. Even the American people should be worried. Our nuclear arsenal is the greatest deterrent the world has ever seen. At the height of the Cold War the Soviet Union had a larger military than we. If it weren’t for our advanced nuclear weapons we might have went to war. Today China, India, and others have larger militaries than we do. Yet we keep our status as superpower because of our power projection, world-wide influence and ability to neutralize potential foes via our large number of nukes. This is our greatest threat against China, whose military is modernizing and whose power projection is being increased.

So what does this mean Mr. President? Does that mean that if China invaded next month without using nukes on us, would we just sit back on our haunches with 20 million invading Chinese troops overrunning us? Would we seriously not drop the bomb on them if they attacked conventionally? Besides the threat of 200,000,000+ armed American citizens our nuclear payload is our safety against expansionist potential regional or super-powers. An emerging China, whom we depend upon for borrowing and cheap labor, is looking at eventually contending with the U.S. in regional power and has longer term goals of being to us soon what the USSR was yesteryear. China, however, doesn’t have our advanced nuclear arms and missile defense. This keeps them in check, for now. With Obama’s promise to not use nuclear arms, China has been green-lighted to speed their military upgrades and potential conflict with Taiwan. Do we really need a wet behind the ears president who doesn’t understand the complex diplomatic dance and international intrigue of the world stage deciding that we won’t use nukes?

This puts in question every American’s safety. Obama seems to think that his charm offensive is going to appease the Sino expansionism and lead to international peace whereby nuclear weapons become obsolete and every nation beats their swords into plowshares. Unfortunately, we live in reality, not some far off land where money grows on trees and dictators are talked out of their totalitarianism. This begs the question, will Obama come to his senses before a serious national security threat arises? Or has it already?

Hell(th) Care

March 19, 2010

My friends, we are on the brink of a precipice from which we will not easily return. Thanks to princess pelosi and the democrats, we are now simply 2 days and a vote away from becoming another country with socialized medicine. The sad thing is that 73% of Americans DON’T WANT this bill. According to several sources the phones on the hill are ringing off the hook with the vast majority of calls being against this monstrosity of a bill. Yet somehow, inside the beltway bubble and within princess pelosi, harry the hairy ape reid and obama’s sphere of influence, the representatives are more concerned with the speaker of the house than they are with their employers, the American people.

Now, for all the liberals/progressives/marxists/commies out there, well they’ll probably say ‘look at that idiot! He can’t spell (title) and doesn’t know how to capitalize (proper names). WRONG! I, An Informed Mind, know full well all the conventional rules of grammar, I am instead choosing to do what I can to oppose those that are usurping our rights and trampling our Constitution. Congressional democrats are going against the American people and I can guarantee you there is going to be a revolution in this country. But it is going to be a peaceful, electoral revolution. Americans are going to vote en masse to throw the jack-n-apes out of office come this November. And I can say this, they had better be prepared to defend this bill because the Republicans are coming and they are campaigning on the dems voting a health care bill down an unwilling public’s throat.

There is still hope that this bill won’t pass. Yes votes can become no votes through the public voicing their extreme hatred for this bill and by dems either seeing the light or feeling the heat. However, if it does pass, I will do everything in my power to force Congress and every elected official to repeal this infringement of our rights. Never before has government mandated the purchase of a good. Contrary to progressive, marxist theology, health care is not… wait let me say this with maximum emphasis NOT a right. Something that can be bought and sold is not a right but a good. Same as a car is not a right, nor a job. Only in Soviet Russia do they think that such things are rights. Rights come from GOD as stated in the Constitution: “We are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” Congress has no right to transfer, take or give rights. If they did it would be tyranny and that is exactly where we are headed.

All Christians that love their country should begin praying RIGHT NOW that this bill does not pass. “Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth, upholder of the universe, we beseech Thee humbly in the name of Thy Son Jesus Christ, that Thou imbue our leaders with wisdom, that Thou strengthen the foundation of our Republic and that Thou change the minds of them that would vote for this bill. Lord, we know that all nations are next to nothing to You and that Thou regardest not a wicked man, but we ask Thee humbly to protect and preserve our nation by Thy providence and keep this bill from passing. We ask that we may glorify Thy name in honor, Amen.” I believe that the same God that removed the sickness from the body of Hezekiah, the same God that raised our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead, the same God that made the sun stand still in the Valley of Aijalon can change the course of our history in that we may go back to freedom and liberty instead of into the long dark night of government tyranny. I believe that if we come humbly before Him, believing, in faith we can defeat this bill or repeal it if it does pass. Pray dear brothers and sisters in Christ.

For you conservatives that are not Christians we can still defeat this bill. However, I cannot unwind my Christianity from my conservatism. To me they are inextricably intertwined. It goes Christian, American, Conservative. All are important to me. But back on subject, flood Congress with your phone calls, emails, faxes, letters. Go to the Congressional offices and stage a sit-down. Take a bullhorn and make your voice be heard. Congress, if they don’t hear you now, they NEED to hear you SOON before this evil bill from the pit of hell is passed. If it is, it will be that much harder to repeal it.

(Toll Free numbers below! Call and tell everyone you know to call as well. Make your voices heard about NOT WANTING THIS BILL!!!)

The Decline of Courage in the West

March 1, 2010

The west in general and the United States in particular have long been courageous in our fight against extremism and evil. We fought the Kaiser in WWI, Hitler and his goosestepping Nazis and the imperial Japanese in WWII and the list goes on to include communists all over the world as well as two-bit tyrants and dictators. However, in the past two decades there has been a noticeable decline of courage in the west.

This is highlighted by a recent report that IAEA chief Yukiya Amano cannot confirm that Iran’s nuclear work is entirely peaceful. How shall I state this… YOU’RE KIDDING??? Are we talking about the same Iran here? You know, the one that threatens to drive Israel into the sea and to ‘cut off the hands’ of anyone who attacks it?

If this were in the year 1950 or even 1980, we would most likely have already bombed Iran into dust and would have ended all speculation that they were trying to obtain nuclear weapons. Iran is not like the Soviet Union where the threat of mutually assured destruction is a valid threat. Ahmadinejad has already stated his willingness to sacrifice the country and its citizens as long as he can strike a blow against Israel (‘the little Satan’) and the United States (‘the big Satan’). We cannot say that we have X number of warheads and if they hit us they’ll be removed from the face of the earth. Their leader doesn’t care!

We should be standing in solidarity with our ally Israel and telling them that if they feel the need to strike Iran, we will provide them the weapons, the cover, the munitions etc. But instead we are sitting around on our hands, twiddling our thumbs and allowing one of history’s craziest madmen to inch ever closer to the ability to kill hundreds of thousands if not millions. There are disturbing and eerie parallels between the west’s initial reaction to Adolf Hitler and it’s current reaction to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. In both cases we have tried to appease them, with Hitler it was the Sudetenland, with Iran it’s enriched uranium enriched elsewhere. The parallels are frightening and show that we are doing everything wrong when it comes to solving the Iranian crisis.

We should immediately ready the Air Force for a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities in coordination with the IAF, Israel’s Air Force. No one’s talking about sending in the ground troops, however, we need to make sure that Iran does not get the bomb. If it does, a ground war in Iran would pale in comparison to the casualties that Iran could unleash on Israel and the wider world.

Will we stand strong in this hour of grave consequence or will we shrink back from the task before us as Neville Chamberlain did a generation before and led to the deaths of 50 million and nearly the plunging of the entire world into a dark age? Will we make sure that Iran does not go nuclear or will we allow a massive nuclear arms race to erupt in the Middle East? God help us if we do.

Black Racism: Is It Possible

February 22, 2010

‘Jeremiah Wright isn’t a racist. You need to be in power to be a racist.’ That is the cry from the left as their constant charges of racism against the right are met with notions of Jeremiah Wright. Is this true? Can you really not be racist unless you have a measure of power against those of whom you are ‘subjugating’? This issue is not complex. If you hate or have a bias against an entire race of people without cause, you are a racist. Rush Limbaugh is not a racist because he doesn’t like Obama. Al Sharpton is not a racist because he dislikes George Bush. Let’s get that out of the way first and foremost.

Now moving on to Jeremiah Wright. Jeremiah Wright is a racist because he makes remarks like ‘Hillary doesn’t know what’s it like to be a black man. Hillary ain’t never been called a *N-word*’. This man’s constant bringing race into a supposedly spiritual event on Sundays makes the Gospel of Jesus Christ into a mockery and turns church into a platform for ‘hate whitey’ speech.

But if this was an isolated remark, it would be okay. But when the man professes great admiration for James Cone, who said this:

“Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community … Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love. ”

(from William R Jones, “Divine Racism: The Unacknowledged Threshold Issue for Black Theology, in African-American Religious Thought: An Anthology”)

That raises some eyebrows does it not? Cone is a racist straight up. You can’t tell me that just because one perceives oneself to be subjugated or oppressed that you cannot be racist. To tell me that you can be racist because you are not in power takes a leap of irrationality that I’m not willing to take.

But it doesn’t end there. Race hustlers like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson make their livelihood off of stoking the ‘victim card’ for black people. There are many blacks that will take issue with them and have. Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Bill Cosby, Walter Williams, Alan Keyes, and Ken Blackwell come to mind as black people that have made success for themselves without hustlers like Shaprton and Jackson and haven’t played the victim card. There are more just like them. Letting people succeed based on their merit is not racist, it is American.

Which brings me to my next point. Affirmative Action is racist. Yes, you heard me. There’s very few who are willing to tackle this subject without the fear of reprisal and chants of ‘racist, racist’. Affirmative takes a large measure of the qualifications of the applicant out and places in it’s stead the color of the applicant. Take for instance the New Haven firefighters. Qualified white firemen that worked hard and risked their lives every day were denied promotions due to the fact that not enough minority candidates passed the test for promotion. Thank heavens the Supreme Court ultimately decided in favor of those brave men. Affirmative Action is a drain on our system and rewards not hard work, but color. Here’s a question, if you were in a burning building, would you want an unqualified white person trying to save you or a black person that was trained in those situations? Or if you were being held hostage, would you want an unqualified black marksmen trying to snipe the hostage taker? I want the most qualified marksmen regardless of color. Affirmative Action if used in such cases, could kill me. What say you about that Al or Jesse?

But I digress, saying that a minority can’t be racist is insane. If someone took a gun and shot you and your family shouting slurs about you being white, or brown or any other color, wouldn’t that be racist in undertone? A black person hating a white person because he or she is white is no less evil than a white person hating a black person because he or she is black. I’m pulling no punches. As a shout-out to my friends in academia, here’s looking at you Hippie Professor, the academia’s definition of racism just doesn’t fly in the real world.

Romney vs. Obama

February 18, 2010

Mitt Romney slammed President Obama at the first day of the annual Conservative Political Action Committee amid a fired up GOP crowd. “President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and their team have failed the American people, and that is why their majority will be out the door,” said Romney to cheers and applause from a joint session of GOP and Tea Party activists. In what appeared to be another smart move from conservatives to meld the tea party into the GOP, leaders from John Boehner to Mitt Romney slammed the Democrats unmercifully, leading the way for prominent Republicans to rise to the top of 2012 contenders. Many already consider Romney to be the front-runner despite Sarah Palin’s popularity with the tea party patriots. “When it comes to pinning blame, pin the tail on the donkeys,” Romney quipped and the crowd erupted in cheers. It is quite clear that Obama and the Dems are not popular among conservatives.

Here’s what I think. I think that ultimately Mitt Romney will be the likely nominee. I think that his economic know-how is worlds ahead of most every other GOP in the field and might have finally gathered conservatives to his tent. I think that Mitt Romney gives the party the best chance of winning back the White House in 2012.

Introducing Romney was the wildly popular fiscally conservative, socially moderate Republican from MA Scott Brown. This would give Romney more credibility among fiscal conservatives. Romney was a prominent supporter of Brown and many argue that he was one of the driving forces behind the win in MA. Scott Brown called Romney ‘one of the bright lights of the Republican party’.

Romney has several things going for him in a run against Barack Obama. For those who support Palin, let me first say, I like Sarah Palin. I think she’s a genuine person, I think she shares the conservative values that many Americans share. But in a debate with Obama (who is as polished and slick as a used car salesman) she would most likely be chewed up and spit out. Her debate skills are not up to the level of Obama who, being trained in the bare-knuckle politicking of Chicago, would use all means at his disposal to obliterate her. Romney on the other hand, is an excellent debater. He is smart and quick on his feet. He knows everything there is to know about economics and could probably tie Obama into a knot on the issue.
Secondly, Romney is the graceful loser of 2008’s primary battle. The GOP has a long history of handing the nomination to the runner up of the previous primary. His grace was evident as opposed to Mike Huckabee who held on as long as he could despite having no chance whatsoever of winning against McCain. He then, despite claims of animosity between the two, campaigned for McCain and Palin and did everything in his power to campaign for other Republicans. He has been the consummate professional when it came to keeping himself out of the spotlight and instead focusing attention on the party nominee.

Third, despite being appealing to conservatives, he could also, through his economic policy, reach out to independents. He can be charming and convincing to independents whose minds might have already been poisoned against Sarah Palin. Sarah is a great conservative, but despite being the largest group, Dems and Independents outnumber us. Therefore we do need to grab some of the independent vote, and Romney is poised to do so.

I think that if the economy remains stagnant or worsens by 2012 there is no way that the Republicans could blow this chance. I think that Obama is doomed to one term if the economy does not turn around and turn around quickly. If it doesn’t, Romney is poised to win big in the next presidential cycle.
