I’m Back Baby!

August 4, 2011

Rejoice longsuffering fans of mine. An Informed Mind, after a long and painful hiatus has returned with another illuminating piece. I have been gone a long time and undoubtedly my writing skills have suffered. My mind draws more blanks than it did in the heat of writing, and working long hours at my job tires my mind as well. But I cannot sit back and be silent as the Democratic Socialist Party of America spends us into bankruptcy.

You see, the new debt ceiling bill has raised some hackles on both sides of the aisle. I agree with Rep. Cleaver that this bill is a ‘sugar coated Satan sandwich.’ Only thing is, we have two totally different reasons. First and foremost there is little in the way of guaranteeing spending cuts. In other words, we gave Barack Hussein Obama (his highness) his two+ trillion dollars in debt ceiling raise but without significant cuts to spending, without a balanced budget amendment, without any guarantee of no new taxes in the future. The Republicans have been hoodwinked again.

In other, entirely related news: the DOW has dropped over 500 points in one day. Barack Hussein Obama is a boy that was sent to do a man’s job. Barack Obama is as Eric Cantor pointed out, in over his head. He has never created a single job, he has never had to deal with a budget. While he was smokin’ dope in college on taxpayer money, real economists were learning that spending more than you take in is a recipe for disaster and that countries need to keep a low debt to GDP ratio for the long term health of their economies. Barack never learned this. So while he is bashing ‘millionaires, billionaires and corporate jet owners’, he’s also soliciting funds from them for his reelection.

In closing of this erratic and somewhat discombobulated post, does anyone else notice that whenever something went wrong under Bush, it was always his fault, but now that Obama is at the helm it’s not his? It is always either A. Bush’s fault or B. ‘Circumstances we can’t control’? Goodnight America.

Late Night Thoughts

September 4, 2010

Hola, my dear readers! Since there is a long holiday weekend coming up, I figured I had some time for some late night rambling on the current state of affairs in America. There’s a lot going on in the good ole USA so let’s get right down to it.

You think I’m going to mention Glenn Beck’s 8/28 rally first? WRONG! First comes the troops. This month marks the official end of U.S. combat presence in Iraq. While Obama has tried to take credit for this momentous occasion the only credit goes to our heroic men and women in uniform who have performed admirably in some of the most hazardous and extreme conditions on earth. The commanders have also been worthy of respect, leading the men and women under them with courage and dignity. God Bless our troops. Deserving less praise, but still more than Obama is President Bush. He heard from his commanders who were requesting more troops on the ground and went against the Democrats that held power in Congress prior to the surge. And he surged the troops, determined to win. Now three years later, the job has been done, the war has been won and the troops are leaving with honor, just as he has said. Well done Mr. President.

Now on to Glenn Beck. On August 28th Glenn Beck drew nearly half a million people to the mall in Washington D.C. for his ‘Restoring Honor’ rally. While liberal loons on the cesspool of networks out there decried the rally as a den of hatred and a pit of racism, the rally was an overwhelming success, and with independent cameramen and Fox News coverage, as well as UStream on Facebook, the REAL story got out. On Glenn’s radio show he asked callers to call in with testimonies of their experiences with the rally. An older black woman called in and talked about a white family that helped her navigate the crowds in her power scooter and stayed with her all day to make sure that she got wherever she wanted to be. (This family did not know her prior to meeting her getting on an elevator!) Another caller spoke of her husband losing his wallet with the last $20 that they had to their name. In the ruckus, a do-gooder overheard the problem and handed her and her husband a wad of cash, stating “Here take this, I don’t need it.” That wad of cash turned out to be $400! Sounds like a group of ‘old, white people that can’t stand the fact that there is a black man in the White House,” as TV host Fat Ed Schulz from MSNBC categorized them.

Now the elections are practically upon us. The Democratic Socialists of America better prepare jobs for themselves because soon many of them will be out of work. Serves them right; their policies have cost millions of Americans their jobs, now Americans are getting back. As part of this new conservative wave washing over the country, in Alaska another establishment Republican has been defeated by a Tea Party backed upstart. This could be huge come November. It’ll be an incumbent bloodbath. Repubs need to come up with a coherent and successful strategy for governing, because that mantle will fall on their shoulders and we cannot turn back into Democrat-lites and RINOs.

Last but not least, The Incomparable Ohio State manhandled overmatched Marshall 45-7 in the season opener. OSU looked like champions as Pryor and the offense scored more than in any game last year and the defense shut down Marshall with the exception of a blocked field goal attempt returned for a TD. OSU will try and replicate their successes against a resurgent Miami. OSU’s national championship hopes rely on them beating Miami and then winning out. GO BUCKS!

The Great Union Hypocrisy

June 7, 2010

My tirade and assault on the unions; nay their corrupt political arms, continues. With a recent piece of literature *cough propaganda cough* coming through my mail box today, I opened it to find a new wave of insults and derogatory remarks aimed at the tea party people. Now, to clear any confusion, I am not a member of a tea party group. However, I FULLY support their ideals and see them as trying to rightfully reclaim their country from a bureaucratic monstrosity and big government bent on spending us into oblivion. Anyway, this union assails to good people from the tea party with statements such as these: “Their paranoia and hatred for anything to do with President Obama have blinded them to the point of a sort of mass hysteria that I believe is a social phenomenon this country hasn’t seen since the days of McCarthyism.” Where do I start? First off, I haven’t seen a whole ton of ‘mass hysteria’ from the tea party. Nope, all I see is a bunch of flag waving and singing patriotic songs. Hmm… are those crazy people patriotic? Nope, jingoistic and nationalist. Shame on those filthy, backwards bomb throwers and rabble-rousers.

Secondly, I think that the anti-war loons from Vietnam through the Iraq war would more so qualify for ‘mass hysteria’, especially the ones that carried signs portraying Bush as Hitler or with a bullet through his forehead. Maybe the Watts or LA rioters. Still drawing blanks unnamed union official?

“The ugliness being stirred up in our Country by the tea baggers needs to stop. The rest of the world sees us as tea baggers and not the kind- hearted people that we are. Just before Tim McVeigh, the mood in the country was ugly as well. Wake up people!” This one I’m really getting sick of. The only ugliness that’s being stirred up is being opened by leftists like *unnamed union official* who constantly refer to tea partiers by a sexualized slur. The same people that are ‘kind- hearted people that we are’ are the ones defaming the tea partiers that have legitimate and substantial worries about the direction our country is heading in. And why is it that every time a conservative (or conservative group) raises hackles about something the left brings up Timothy McVeigh? We conservatives don’t bring up the Black Panthers or Bill Ayers. Also, do you really think grandma’s gonna whip out a Magnum .357 or Uzi from her purse and mow down a bunch of politicos? Maybe we should be concentrating on people like, oh I don’t know… Nidal Hassan or Abdul Malik Mohammed Hussein… heck with it, the boxer bomber? Not every time an atmosphere is ugly it ends in violence, nope, sometimes it ends in political hacks losing their jobs, like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are poised for.

“It seems the public is tiring of the anti-Obama rhetoric, but that doesn’t mean it will go away…” Before I continue with this whopper, I had to bring something up. ‘It won’t go away’? You mean like that health care bill from the devil? The one that 65%+ of Americans didn’t want yet was shoved down our throats? Yeah, he knows what he’s talking about. “…Certainly if the economy improves month by month, then the hypocrisy of the teabaggers will become more visible to the public because they’ll realize that the bottom line is that the majority of the teabaggers, for whatever reason, either strongly dislike or simply hate Barack Obama.” Uh-huh. If the economy improves month by month, yeah that’s a big ‘if’ dummy. Especially considering that out of the 400,000 jobs we added in April or May or whatever month it was, 90%+ of them were temp. Census jobs. ‘WOW! Honey, I was just hired to the Census bureau. Only problem… I’ll be out of work in 6 weeks.’ Yeah, economy’s really looking up. Uh-huh. Maybe the economy is not getting better because we didn’t spend enough money on it. Yeah, that’s it. We need to spend more money. So here’s the deal, we’ll spend $20,000,000,000,000 to bail EVERYBODY out and then there’ll be enough money to go around and companies will hire and world hunger will be eradicated etc. The only minor side effect? Our dollars will be worth, oh say… 1/10th of a Zimbabwean dollar. (If that doesn’t register, a hamburger in Zimbabwe costs 10 trillion Zimbabwean dollars. An egg costs 500 billion.) But darn them teabagging rednecks, they just hate Obama because ‘AAAAHHHH there’s a bleck mann in da whyite hause!!!!!’ Give me a break.

You see my fellow Americans, union leadership is corrupt as a rule. Members in unions are just like everyday Americans. They want their kids to be safe and to have a better life than they had. They want America to be free and prosperous. Most probably have conservative views. But the union leadership has become nothing but a political pawn, a shill, a sheeple for the Democratic Socialist party of America. They should not be taken seriously anymore.

Angry Protesters Make Their Voices Heard on Cap. Hill

March 21, 2010

House Democrats walked through throngs of angry protesters shouting ‘Kill the Bill!’ among other things on their way to the House for the upcoming vote on health care. Tea Party protesters made themselves heard, including a few who shouted racial epithets at black members. The number of those were small and did not represent the whole crowd.

In all honesty, things are looking better for us than I previously thought, as it now appears that there are less than 200 strong yes votes and the dems need at least 23 of the 26 undecideds. Democrats though remain confident that they will pass this bill.

Republican Paul Ryan of Wisconsin issued an urgent plea against government run health care replete with charts and graphs representing the steep increase in debt and deficit if this bill is passed. His mother in law is on a drug for ovarian cancer that would be banned if government ran the pharmacies. God Bless him for his testimony and ardent opposition to this bill.

Clinton To Attack Tea Party

February 17, 2010

According to www.biggovernment.com Bill Clinton is organizing a pushback to the tea party movement. He and his team are going to ‘identify 7 or 8 national leaders’ of the movement and then try to either threaten them or bribe them into turning. With an inside man/woman they will be able to try and tear the movement apart at the seams. The others that aren’t able to be converted will be subjected to smear tactics and character assassinations.

This is typical of the left. Instead of recognizing that this is a legitimate grassroots movement, they will try and find a ‘leading man’ as it were and use him/her against his/her compatriots in the movement. Unfortunately for them, the tea party has no real leaders as it springs up from the people, just as the founders intended it.

It could get ugly as the progressive movement fights for it’s life against the tea party patriots. A big government Congress and President are fighting against the will of the people and are going to go bare-knuckle very soon as they try and stifle the growing movement that, if successful, will damage the progressive movement unlike any other damage it has seen in a century. Keep your eyes open America. Pugna in Conservatives, nostrum victoria est nox noctis!

The Demise of Free Speech in America

February 15, 2010

Did you know that if you disagree with Obama you are a racist? News to you? Not to me, you see I’ve been traveling over the web, looking into liberal blogs to get my jollies and insert my Informed Opinion. What I found disturbed me, and somewhat sickened me. I found that the left was in full fledged attack mode against anyone who dared raise a reviling accusation against The One. The same left that called Bush a fascist, made him out to be as bad as or worse than Hitler, that said he had the blood of millions on his and his administration’s hands were now throwing a rather nasty hissy fit against anyone speaking out against Obama.

And there charge? Racism. I was called racist outright and in veiled references. I, and other conservatives like me, were told that we were racists and backwards and that we had no legitimate beef with the president and basically that our arguments were worthless and shouldn’t be listened to. Huh, funny, you see I thought that we would be at least tolerated because of the left’s undying tolerance and respect for all walks of life. Yeah I know, funny isn’t it? Conservatives have been labeled racist by the unions, the media, the vast left wing conspiracy, Jimmy Carter, Ed Rendell… am I missing anyone? That idiot from the New Black Panthers.

It is now vogue for liberals to try and shut down free speech by trying to make us sounds like racists. I don’t mind name-calling. If a liberal calls me names I can dress him down in thirteen different ways, but when you try to shut down debate by building walls and destroying a constitutional right, that makes me mad! Free speech is what this country is built upon. In societies wherein free speech is squelched, dictators and despots invariably rise to the top. In countries wherein free speech is regarded as dangerous or inflammatory and is subsequently shut down, democracy ceases and only certain speech is allowed. This is the antithesis of America and her ideals. Liberals know this, yet they don’t mind. They don’t mind because they are now on top and see America elected Obama as proof of a ‘fundamental’ shift in American thinking. Truth be told, their mandate is much smaller and slimmer and is in the process of being revoked. They don’t think they’ll ever fall out of power, but due to their attack on free speech, America is waking up.

Glenn Beck. What comes to mind when I say his name? If you are a tea partier, you might think patriot, if you’re a liberal, crazy comes to mind. Whatever you think of Glenn Beck it is undeniable what the left is trying to do to him. Instead of debating with him on the facts, they insult him, call him over the top, stupid, crazy, fat or some other insulting and derogatory name. Whoopi Goldberg called him a ‘lying sack of dog mess’. Wow! Tolerance only goes one way huh?

Beck, and Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, O’Reilly, and everyone else that is catching on to the left, the left wants shut down. And guess what, they are all defenders of free speech. What is do d@mn dangerous about free speech? Free speech allows the folly and treason of many liberals to be exposed. Americans don’t want one sided news, that’s why they are turning off CNN, NBC, MSNBC and other mainstream media channels. They want two opposing sides stating their cases in a respectful manner. Free speech causes that. Talk radio allows for that voice of dissent to come through despite liberal media bias on the mainstream media. Look at the coverage of Palin or the tea party protests. Practically every story done by the media was negative towards both. Yet through the internet, talk radio and Fox News the REAL news that tea partiers are patriotic, small government leaning conservatives got out. This terrifies the left.

Liberals know that to control the country and to ‘fundamentally transform the United States of America’ they have to control the flow of information. Thus the demonization of conservatives. If they can convince the American people that Glenn Beck and other conservatives are racists, they can seize control of the media and therefore the American people will be brainwashed or propagandized by their ilk.

Free speech needs to survive in America. Talk radio and the internet is at the forefront of the fight. Blogs and radio shows are doing battle right now over whether you are a racist simply for disagreeing with Obama. Prove that you’re not. There was a very lively conversation/debate going on over at http://hippieprofessor.com/2010/02/10/ahhh-sarah-about-that-hopey-changey-thing/ on this very topic. Don’t let the title fool you, down the page comes in the lines about racism and Obama. If conservatives allow liberals to demonize us and take away our legitimacy, the downfall of free speech in America is not far away.

So the next time that a liberal calls you racist, laugh it off and dress him down with a superior Informed Argument against big government and other liberal ideas. Do it long enough and effective enough and he’ll leave with his tail between his legs. AND, free speech will survive.

Communists, Socialists, Liberals Oh My!

October 17, 2009

My friends, there are just a few differences between communists, socialists and liberals. Communists advocate the complete government ownership of everything, socialists advocate the government ownership of essential industries, liberals don’t seem to mind private ownership of things as long as they advocate all things liberalism. But in terms of health care, it gets a lot closer.

Liberals, socialists and communists all think that health care should be a government sanctioned right of the populace. Whereas conservatives such as myself realize that the Constitution does not guarantee health care, a car, computer, radio, HDTV or broadband as a right. What ARE rights are sometimes hidden by liberals who want to keep Americans uninformed and on the sidelines. Here’s a non-exhaustive list:

Freedom of Speech
Freedom of Life
Freedom of Assembly
Freedom of Protest
Freedom of the Press

Americans are entitled to those things and if we are denied them, we can DEMAND them. Because if the government thinks they can take away our right to them, they will become even more power hungry. As Americans we have every right to PEACEFULLY protest and demand that our rights not be infringed upon. Liberals though seem to want to allow only the speech with which they agree.

In my discourses across the internet, I find an increasing number of socialists and communists that are preferring if the United States would become socialist to fit there idea of perfection. No amount of truth and information can convince them otherwise, for they are dead set in the idea that socialism is the perfect governance. Here is what a communist America would look like for the average American.

6:00 A.M.: Wake up, walk into the bathroom. Grab your “Americana” government made razor and shave, all the while whistling “My Party tis of thee, sweet land of dependancy”.
6:15 A.M.: Grab your newspaper: Goverment Sanctioned News and sit down at your government/union made table to drink your “Statist Orange” juice.
6:45 A.M.: Busing down the toll road to your job at Amtrak “The only government approved railway (Actually, the only railway
8:00 A.M.: Sit down and do nothing for another 2 hours as ‘undesirables’ and ‘enemies of state’ filter by on Amtrak jail cars.
10:00 A.M.: Pop in a piece of “Governmint” gum. Chew until the flavor jumps out and runs around the station.
Noon: Sign out and grab a bite to eat from the foreman, who in reality is a government spy to make sure everyone is ‘happy’, ‘content’ and supporting of the ‘party’.
2:00 P.M.: A friend goes down kicking and screaming after the foreman finds him murmuring something about the party. He’s handcuffed and escorted out of the building where a black van ‘chauffeurs’ himto his next destination.
4:00 P.M.: The seat collapses under you. You pick up the pieces and read the bottom of the chair: “Proudly made by the Americana state party.” You raise an eyebrow.
6:00 P.M.: You sign out for the day, walk to the podium and pledge allegiance to the party.
8:00 P.M.: At home. Suddenly the lights go out. That’s it for the night. The state decided that lights go off at 8 to save energy and help the environment. Good night America.

Is this what you want America to look like liberals? I sure as heck don’t. I think Ronnie would be rolling over in his grave seeing how close some liberals are trying to make us look like the USSR. Luckily there are still some out there who are fighting the liberal spin and trying our darndest to see America through as what we are, free, strong, and with liberty and justice for all. For a incomplete list of these noble souls, go to the Hall of Fame page. You want to see those that are trying to get us to the Americana of above, go to the Hall of Shame.

Tea Party Protesters Aim For Mainstream Media

October 17, 2009

The Tea Party is back in force as protestors gather in front of NBC studios in Burbank, CNN in Atlanta and affiliates of NBC, ABC and CBS across the nation. The protests entitled “Can You Hear Us Now” are going to be aimed at showing the media the public’s outrage over biased reporting and bigger government.

Now this is what I’m talking about folks. Tea Party protesters are legitimate, grassroots people that are sick and tired of the PC baloney that you can’t criticize the president. I thought that dissent was the highest form of patriotism!? Not if you are conservative or if you think that the government should serve you not the other way around. Is anyone else going to stick up for us? I think not, especially not in the mainstream, drive by media.

We as Americans have every right to protest for the redress of our grievances. Those grievances can be summed up as 1. unfair taxation, 2. unequal representation, 3. growing government, 4. eroding civil liberties and others. Let me break it down by each grievance.

Unfair taxation: This is one of the most economically idiotic administrations to date. Evidently they were asleep during economics class because only a dunce would think that you can raise taxes to historic rates and expect a economic turnaround. The truth is, about 40% of every dollar you make goes to taxes. That is bordering on a socialist system. Countries in Europe have tax rates at the 45-50% rate. We are quickly losing more and more of our money to the government and it is unacceptable.

Unequal representation: Our elected officials, mostly liberal democrats are ignoring the public’s outrage over taxes and health care and are ramming the bill down our throats. Excuse me, but aren’t our officials supposed to support what we support, not what they want to happen? By ignoring public demand and supporting the health care bill, they are breaking the trust of their constituents and all should be voted out promptly i the next available election.

Growing government: Have you tried to get a fishing or hunting license recently? What about a gun permit or a zoning permit? Have ya gone to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in the past six months? Chances are, if you have, you know where I’m going with this. Government is growing at a truly scary rate and we are the unlucky ‘beneficiaries’. The 2010 census will ask more intrusive questions than ever in the past and our privacy and freedom are getting thrown under the bus because government thinks they know what is best for us. Under the Constitution, powers that have not been directly relegated to the federal government are reserved for the states and for the people. That means the government doesn’t have a right to tell you to buy health insurance, to not buy large gas guzzlers or to brush your teeth twice daily. But it seems lately that bureaucrats in Washington are ignoring and blatantly going against it to grab more power for themselves. It’s sad but true and we need to stop it right NOW!

Eroding civil liberties: Last time I checked the Constitution said that we have the right to freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom to assemble and protest for the redress of our grievances. (See the First Amendment) But it seems the government is now more willing to shut up certain groups to keep other groups happy. Talk radio is under attack by leftists and liberals who want to bring back the much maligned Fairness Doctrine which is really not fair at all. (The fairness doctrine states, in layman’s terms, that if a radio station allows a person of one political, religious or other view, they must allow the same time to a person whose ideas are polar opposite. Hence the fairness idea. The problem with that is, instead of fostering debate, radio stations would rather shut up the first group than go through the hurdles of finding an equal and opposite viewpoint.) Freedom of religion is under attack in our courtrooms, schools and public places. Children are told not to dare mention the name Jesus or sing O Holy Night lest Muslims and Atheists be offended. Protesters are shuttled behind barricades lest they actually step anywhere near what they are protesting. Groups now need a permit to assemble if there are more than a certain number of people.

America, what are we becoming? Have we totally thrown out the Constitution as law of the land? Have we totally abandoned the first amendment? I don’t think we have. I think we have voted in people that conflict with our values and we are beginning to see that. And I think the tea party protesters are good Americans that are leading the fight to get back to our core integrity and freedom expressed in the Constitution.

Now we have the choice to become what have always been. We have the chance to go back to freedom, civil liberty, integrity and conservatism. America, will we take that chance?
